Help identify AP drive unit

Looks a lot like the Simrad AP16 unit on my boat.

Raymond, that is the head unit but that got me on the right track.

My manual refers to the entire system as "Simrad AP16 Autopilot" and the head unit as "AP16 Control Unit" so we are both correct.

I have found it to be an excellent unit except I cannot get it to fully recognize all the data from my Raymarine MFDs and work properly in "No Drift". I suspect I haven't fully "learned" it yet but will eventually crack the problem.

I also have a Raymarine system and intend to install a double throw, triple gang switch to allow both control systems to be used if one goes down.

The drive unit is certainly a nice robust looking piece of gear.
