While Trinidad is as good an anti fouling as one can buy, IMHO, do not expect great results from it if used on your running gear, particularly the prop. There is simply too much wear and turbulence from water action for any typical anti fouling to last long. I'm not saying don't paint the prop, it couldn't hurt, but if my experience as a hull cleaner is anything to go by, it won't stay on the prop very long.

The new miracle solution for props is "PropSpeed." Very effective but with a price tag to match.

Thanks Fstbttms - a few others have mentioned Propspeed. It sounds like it is worth a try. I would not expect any paint to be able to stay on a turning prop for too long - but if Propspeed seems to work well, I will give it a try.

I have seen a picture of a prop painted in this Propspeed stuff. I was 12mths ol. I had no indication of how many hrs spinning it had done. But the picture showed nothign more than a slight dulling of the paint. If you want to see the picture, I think it is still up for a few more hrs.

Wow. It still looks pretty much like it was just painted. Propspeed must be some pretty good stuff. I have looked at their website but so far I have not found where to buy it nor how much it is.
