I have a
Bukh saildrive behind a DV20 which seems to be slipping when in reverse.
I have a fixed
3 blade prop and in forward the
engine maxes out at 2600
rpm with
boat at 6.5knts. In reverse
engine maxes out at 2900
rpm with
boat at about 1.8knts. Boat takes a long time to stop or to build speed in reverse.
I suspect that I have a slipping reverse
clutch in the
saildrive.
Does anyone know if the clutches in the
Bukh saildrives can be serviced in place, or will the saildrive need to be removed from the boat?
Any insights greatly appreciated.
