Bronze prop pitting
Some prop
advice
needed please.
My
bronze
prop shows pitting as per
photo
. Is this caused by corrosion/electrolysis? Or
marine
growth? And should it be repaired? Is there some
epoxy
type of fairing that one can use?
Cheers

Re: Bronze prop pitting
Must be cavitation! Your prop speed is to high, pulling bubbles that collapse at the speed of sound in
water
causing this pitting.

Re: Bronze prop pitting
The pitting is evenly distributed on the front and back. I'd have thought that cavitation would be more on the back?
Can one
repair
the pitting
DIY
?
