STCW classes for 2/3 requirement

I have done the STCW training but in order to charter internationally, I need the added classes, advanced medical & fire fighting. Known as the additional 2/3rd classes. I know there are classes in Florida/Charleston SC but when I call these places, they insist on more classes I need or do not know at all.
Can someone tell me where I can get these additional classes?
Thank you!

Are you looking to rent a barebones charter boat?

OR are you looking to work as crew on a charter yacht or cruise ship??

Everything you're listing is only required for the latter.

Re: STCW classes for 2/3 requirement

You are not being very clear. As Shrew states, STCW training and certification is for professional mariners holding commercial certificates of competency. STCW II/3 is an endorsement as Master or OICNW (Officer in Charge of a Navigational Watch) on vessels less than 500GT. To get this endorsement, you need to demonstrate the required sea service, training, and assessments. So training alone isn’t going to get you STCW II/3. But the list of required training is more than you stated. In addition to Basic Training, you also need PSC, Medical provider, ECDIS (if equipped), Radar Observer (if Radar equipped), ARPA, and advanced firefighting.

Are these the same courses the training sites listed?

The OP has written in his profile that he’s already a Captain.

Almost everyone on this forum is a “captain.” I’m not sure all are licensed to operate a 500GT commercial yacht in international waters.
