Réka and Tibor, future sailors ask for help (usa,ca)

Our name Reka and Tibor and want to ask for help from you , other people can not really turn . I do not want to get a job right away, but only the information that is easier to get started . We are a 21 year old couple from Hungary . One and a half years learning navigation , four and a half months later in the school , we will be officially shipping and technicians, and of course sailors . Cruise service book is already three months' service . , We are well trained . Have a question , if we decide to try to the USA or Canada to work in shipping , what would be our options? Perhaps you can give some guide to what papers are needed ? I think our our European paper , our profession will not be accepted . So could you help us pair information? Excuse any language mistakes , still learning English but we have summer language exams . ( dictionary I use now ) .

Thank you in advance for your response !

Welcome to CF!

I assume you are talking about working in the merchant shipping business as crew???? There are a few members here who are employed in this business...

Here is one quick link here where a member bestahook offers help... I know there's another called deckofficer? Do a search here... keep asking and you will get the info you are looking for!

Good luck!

Thank you for your answers!
Currently, we have decided that we are looking for a job in Europe about one year to be experience, then try North America, maybe to someone, and finally we can prove that we are real sailors. So many changes have taken place that we got out of sailors qualification recognized by the state, the technician performed next month. Did you feel like someone you would be happy to talk to anyone who works in shipping, be who you share the good and bad things if someone would feel like it, and tell him I write access. But of course not I look away from, loads of useful and interesting information I can find the time. We wish you good times!
