I am a Canadian citizen living in Toronto. Next summer I plan to
cruise right around
Lake Ontario starting in Wilson,
New York and
head west along the south coast returning to
Canada near the Thousand Islands.
A
posting in another forum suggested that if I didn't have a NEXUS card that once I landed in Wilson and did a video
phone check in that I would have to do a
phone check in from every port I stay at. This seems to be a huge pain in the neck.
Also, if I have a NEXUS card and my wife joins me on the
boat while I'm in the
USA and she clears US
customs at a border point, will I have to report her presence on the
boat to Homeland
Security?
Any subject matter experts out there? I've already scoured the
internet so I probably need help from someone with personal experiences.
Regards,
Allan
