Any reviews of SEA SENSE Womens Boating courses?

Hi Folks

I'm a boater/liveaboard wannabe looking to get some education.

Does anyone have any experience with or have heard reviews of SEA SENSE, a Womens Boating School currently out of St Pete Florida?

Any and all tips appreciated.
Many thanks!

I don't know about that specific outfit but the gold standard for those programs is Girls for Sail that does RYA instruction. Have run into their boats a few times in the Caribbean and the instructors seem top notch and the students all seem like their having a great time.

That said, if you could give us more information on what you know and what you don't know, and what your goals are we could probably give you better advice on what program would be a good fit. Choosing one based on it being gender-specific might not be in your set interests depending on what it is you want to get out of it.

Where are you located? Are you interested in power or sail? How far do you want to travel as a live aboard? Stuff like that would be helpful.

Thank you for your response
It sounds like you are some kind of boating organization.
I didn't quite see exactly which you are... Be nice to know.

I'm looking to liveaboard in possibly St Pete Florida or maybe east coast Florida.
It will be some kind of a power boat.
I've been on boats a lot, Love sleeping on them.
Need to learn to drive, dock, the whole 9 yards.
Probably the largest boat I would buy will be 45'
and likely less.

Look forward to any tips you can offer.

Who is a boating organization? Me? No. This site? No, just a forum site. The organization I mentioned, Girls for Sail? No, it's a commercial training company.

The outfit you mentioned in your initial post is probably a good one as they cover power boats, but sorry I can't offer any specific feedback on them.
