WINTER SUCKS!!!

Dear BadFish,

I miss you my love. I see you here... Sitting, waiting, wanting. I want to free you from your prison, but there's still time to be served. April may seem so far away, but I can see her in the distance (with my goddam binocs). It's a very harsh world out there right now, and I want to protect you from it. Soon enough though, you will be free to rock, roll, and be witness to the never-ending debauchery which I call my life. I can't wait to spend time with you... I can't wait to ride you... I can't wait to be inside you.

I love you.

Bill

We have 3 feet of snow on the ground right now. It hasen't been this severe in - well - about 12 months. It's funny you would start this thread as yesterday I couldn't get Jimmy Buffetts "Boat Drinks" song out of my head. Here's to six holes in my freezer

Boat drinks
Boys in the band ordered boat drinks
Visitors scored on the home rink
Everything seems to be wrong

Lately, newspaper mentioned cheap air fare
I gotta to fly to St. Somewhere
I'm close to bodily harm

Twenty degrees and the hockey game's on
Nobody cares they are way too far gone
Screamin' boat drinks, something to keep 'em all warm

This mornin' I shot six holes in my freezer
I think I got cabin fever
Somebody sound the alarm

I'd like to go where the pace of life's slow
Could you beam me somewhere Mr. Scott?
Any ol' place here on Earth or in space
You pick the century and I'll pick the spot

Oh I know, (I know)
I should be leaving this climate
I got a verse but can't rhyme it
I gotta go where it's warm

Boat drinks
Waitress I need two more boat drinks
Then I'm headin' south 'fore my dream shrinks

I gotta go where it's warm (I gotta go where it's warm)
I gotta go where it's warm (I gotta go where it's warm)
I gotta go where it's warm

I gotta go where there ain't any snow
Where there ain't any blow
'Cause my fin sinks so low
I gotta go where it's warm

Not long now guys. In December you are through boating but in January you are heading into a new season. The boat shows are coming up and befor you know it, its April and the bright work is looking like it needs a coat or two.

My boat goes in the water on the first weekend in May so here is to a short 104 days to go.

Cheers,

Todd

One hundred and four more days? I nearly froze on the dock a week ago walking back thru the snow. I may add a second bullet to make my Russian Roulette game more intriguing. Winter really, really sucks. Thank goodness for Winter Ales.

Living in Calif. I use to look forward to winter & snow. I would head to the slopes, and then I started sailing. Slowly, but surely I weened myself from the slopes to face watery slopes, and wind.

Now I am in Fl., and whine when it hits the 40's. I don't know if I am becoming a weakly whiner, or smarter?.......i2f

When I want snow in California, I drive east for 3 hours. When I have had my fill, I drive west for 3 hours.

Here in Houston we have all four seasons:

Almost summer

Summer

Still summer

Christmas

I'm ready for Christmas to end. We are to close to the Arctic circle.

David and Tom, you are not helping. Thanks for kicking me while I'm down.

Cheers

I miss the diversity of the Bay Area. There's so much to see in a 3 hour drive in any direction.

When we went to St. Maarten to pick up Imagine. We island hopped our way to Daytona. We were approaching Daytona at 7am, and could see land on the horizon. I went to wake Melanie, and asked if she would like to see Florida. You have to remember Mel is from the Philippines. So when she stepped out into the cockpit, and saw the treeline one the horizon. She looked at me with worry, and asked "Where's the mountains?" I got a huge laugh out of that one......i2f

I2F, It's funny because another thread right now has to do with putting sailing pictures into your profile. I didn't have any sailing ones on my laptop but a thousand of me skiing and snowmobiling. I'm going to have to change that.
If anyone knows where Marquette Michigan is, they get a lot of snow up there. This year we are tied already with their annual snowfall totals. 100 inches and counting.

rig, 100 inches? Good lord man. I will stop complaining... For the moment.

We've been fortunate not to have seen that much snow yet this year, although it's pretty dam nasty out right now.

Stay warm everyone.

Cheers

Bill
