Thanks! I'm glad it is light. I was thinking it may not be without some leading edge.

If you look at the picture again there is actually quite a bit of leading edge and evidence that it had been added to.

I did and had to enlarge the pic. You are right, it does have some leading edge.
The whole set up looks great. Not common for what you would see on a pleasure boat. I would love to see pics of the yacht made from a commercial trawler. I know absolutely nothing about trawling in your neck of the woods what was the targeted catch.

Actually quite common on pleasure craft displacement trawlers.
I prefer a setup that allows the shaft to be pulled without removing the rudder.

Which Trawler should I consider ?
A nozzle allows a prop to act as is it were much greater diameter. It can also increase efficiency, an airliners jet engine is a ducted fan, which is a nozzle of course.
Where I’m from, we call them shrimp boats, never seen one converted to a pleasure craft.
Is yours dry stacked?

Looks like one hell of a nice conversion. The shrimp/prawn industry has gone to hell as a result of Asian frozen imports. No taste but a market that doesn't know the difference.

Good friend of mine owns a shrimp farm in Ecuador, they have many, many ponds that they grow shrimp in, and they are very good.
They swear it’s chlorine water that the shrimp are washed in that kills the taste.
The family has had the farm for quite some time.

She was when a working boat but had new 855 Cummins fitted with wet exhaust when they cut the original top off in early 2000s
Very little use, when we had the engine checked and valves adjusted the mechanic reckons he was the first one inside due to factory gaskets and paint still in place.

They had a farm here outside of Charleston, It didn't fly, I don't believe, I think a cold winter got it. It didn't appear to be a fly by night operation. SC's Waddell Wildlife Center outside of Beaufort raised some two lb. shrimp. Enough drift from me.
