Re: Whaler model and size, year?

Are you sure it is a whaler? Possibly a Wahoo?

If you really want some help, send more info. Many forum members will be willing to go take a look and get ID or more pictures and etc. WHERE is it?

Re: Whaler model and size, year?

According to the publicly available portions of search by registration it is a 1988 Boston Whaler, serial #M2045. I can’t vouch for any of that (for instance, the serial number format doesn’t match what I see reported elsewhere) just what can be found using the FL rego #.

Thanks. That’s a bit closer. I also couldn’t make sense of the sr#. It does look like the 1988 hulls but there is a lot more stuff in it. Possibly options at the time or later customization.

I will have an opportunity to see and touch it in July.

Re: Whaler model and size, year?

It's definitely a Boston Whaler. It's not a 130 Super Sport. That is an older model with the old cathedral hull. It looks like a older 16 or possibly a 17 Montauk.

You might want to hit up our own continuouswave, he seems to be a Boston Whaler aficionado and maintains a website with lots of BW history. Might be able to tell you something from a single glance at the picture.

That's a 13' boston whaler. I know because that boat was the love of my life when I was a kid. They were rated for up to a 40 hp.The engine on that boat is less.

Re: Whaler model and size, year?

Thanks for the help everyone.

It is indeed 13 feet, 1988, vintage restored. Quite recent Mercury 25 four stroke. Recent trailer. Spare prop and fuel tank.

Spoken for but looks like about $8000.00

Re: Whaler model and size, year?

Re:13' Boston Whaler. My 13' whaler cost $595.00 back in 1965 and I had a 40 hp Evenrude that cost $650.00.Both Brand new at the time.
