Looking to share a trawler
I’m a private airplane pilot. I have Cessna 172. Sometime I’m flying to Bahamas
Islands from East Canada
At 60 years, I have just retired. I have the idea to buy a trawler
of 28, 30 or 32 feet, rather recent, with reliable engine
about 180hp. My maximum budget
is around $100k.
I want to live no more than 3 months on the boat
and I want that the boat
stays permanently in the BVI
and in Guadeloupe
, all around in this big region. That is why I would like to share the property of the boat with a partner who could put at least $50k.
Every year, the partner and I, we would share the expenses and each would have the exclusivity of the boat for 3 months. For the other 6 months, the boat would be stored, either one of us would use it, according to the climate of the region.
I have done this kind of share property with an airplane in the pass. It was working well with honest and opened people. Of course a legal
paper could fix the rules of the boat partnership
. Question : this project
is madness or if it is practicable? How to find the partner(s)? How to fix the rules? How to find the boat?
