Before Passagemaker Magazine purchased TrawlerFest in 2005 or so, I was one of their
core presenters (docking, and how-to-buy-your-first-boat, and a founding presenter at "TrawlerFest University" where four 'students' spent a day on the
water doing close quarter maneuvers).
I'd say at least 90% of the participants I met really enjoyed attending TrawlerFest. They got a lot of info from the seminars - I see there are a few on doing the Loop. If you can afford the time, would jump-in with both feet. Much of the value is hanging out in the hallways and at the docks chatting with fellow participants, some will be ahead of you in
learning, some will be behind.
If you go, drop an update back. I'd be curious to see how it's morphed since i was involved 15-years ago!
