Switching Alpha Outdrives

Have a Alpha 1- gen 2 outdrive on a SeaRay bow rider,
Wanted to upgrade the outdrive, besides rotation and gear ratio are there other problems I would encounter?
Thank you

Re: Switching Alpha Outdrives

When I have had questions like yours I've just phoned Mercury directly and talked to them.
