Re: Submarine Superyacht

So guns on board because customs can't find you to search your boat or no guns needed because you can dive and hide?

discuss please

Indeed! No need to bother checking in really... Simply cruise in... settle on the bottom... and torpedo tube ashore "a la 007"

Re: Submarine Superyacht

Or have a lock-out dive chamber like the Capt Nemo's Nautilus, or maybe your own private island base built in some ocean's extent volcano.

Perhaps some more economical models could be built of ferro-cement,...good compressible strength. The drug trade made use of this material if I recall.

Because of these reasons civilian subs will be made illegal in most civilized countries. It only makes sense. In addition to the above, one could set up covert UW storage cashes to hide contraband until the time is right.

Re: Submarine Superyacht

Running a submarine is much more complex than a surface ship, even without considering the weapons. In a submarine, you cannot afford flooding or hydroplane failure. No wonder submariners are the elite in all navies that operate submarines. Almost all civilian submariners are ex-military.

I can't imagine doing this for pleasure.

Curiously, the phone number on the web page is Austrian. Austria lost its submarine fleet and its coast on the Mediterranean in 1919... The design office "Starkad Technologies" appears to be Estonian with only 2500€ in assets: Starkad Technologies OÜ Estonia - Business Profiles

Re: Submarine Superyacht

Would this solve the derelict boat problem at marinas since they would be potentially underwater?
