We are currently in Cape May heading towards Annapolis in a couple of days.

You can go inside in at Manasquan and do the whole NJ route inside if you want to take your time. DO NOT enter a NJ inlet on a weekend. DO NOT enter a NJ inlet with wind opposing tide. Manasquan, Atlantic City and Cape may inlets are easy, I'd avoid the others where local knowledge ranges from important to crucial.

We are not marina people but are at Utsch's marina in Cape May right now (first marina since we left Toronto in April) because Cape May is our honeymoon town and we like to spend a few days here reliving the old days.

We stayed once at South Jersey Marina in Cape May and we like it. Next to Lobster House.

Delaware City and Chesapeake City on the C&D canal both offer decent facilities. Former small town a bit more spread out; latter more compressed area and a bit of a party depending on night and time of year.

Schaeffer's on the C&D has dockage, fuel and a good restaurant. Canyon Club marina in Cape May if you want a pool etc. South Jersey if all you want is a clean shower.
