Sydney,
For openers, I had never heard of or seen a Mustang 2800 until I found some photos on
Google.com just now. In general you know the
windlass breaker will be located between a
battery and the
windlass. The breaker may be located on the breaker panel, otherwise you may have to trace the wires from the windlass back to the
battery. When I retrofitted my 28 cruiser with a windlass, the breaker was located on the
cabin side of the
engine room bulkhead.
Regarding the
boat manual question, it may be a different situation in AU, but most
boats come with component
manuals, i.e.
engine,
electronics,
plumbing, etc. No overall manual like you would get in an automobile. The most valuable information in my view would be a complete
wiring diagram. Very often you have to make your own. As
boats age and owners change,
electrical devices are added and removed and the old wires are generally left dangling.
