Looking for Info on Hurghada Port Shipbuilding History

Hello everyone,

I’m seeking information about local shipbuilding companies in Hurghada, Egypt. I recently came across some photos of boats taken near King Farouk’s rest house (now the Hurghada Maritime Port) in the 1940s, and I’m curious to know if the shipyard located in the port might have been responsible for building these boats.

Specifically, I would like to know whether this shipyard has been in operation since the time of King Farouk, or if it is a more recent establishment. Any insights into the history of the shipyard or its involvement in boat construction during that era would be greatly appreciated.
