Looking For An Old Friend

I am in the process of writing an article about my experiences at a summer camp in upstate New York during the 1950’s and 60’s. A large part of those summers revolved around my experiences on a 1927 (possibly a 1929) Chris Craft motor boat. My objective is to get some history about the boat and to find out where she is now and/or what happened to her since the camp sold her in 1964 or 1965. Unfortunately, the camp closed in 1964 and the owner has since passed away. I have the NY State Registration numbers from 1963, but my attempts to work through the state have proven to be futile....Is there any way to trace this information and find out the history and/or whereabouts of this vessel? I would be very grateful for any information that you could provide.
