Re: "eco" tugboat

Is this a New Years April fools thing. 40 mw is enough power to supply a fair size town. Like 1800 homes. Maybe 40kw ?

Re: "eco" tugboat

I think it is either photo shopped or it is a supply vessel delivering an offshore wind turbine.

Here's an un-photoshopped version of the same vessel. Deep Cygnus

Re: "eco" tugboat

It' s nicely photoshopped. And no, 40 kW cannot even drive a canoe. (So to speak). The supplier is just in place in front of this "seamill" providing this image.

The new "terror of the sea" - not in US waters but in the North Sea. Unholy pipedreams of the national power & gas providers to sell their "Green Program" to the Governments and getting huge provisions for their environmental disturbing actions.

Re: "eco" tugboat

40Kw = 53.6 hp, hardly enough

Re: "eco" tugboat

An average home will have a 100amp service which requires 22Kw at max.

Re: "eco" tugboat

I used to generate 32Mw onboard, but it took (7) 900 rpm diesels to do it.
