Allweather 26

I like this design. I want to build something similar. Can anyone recommend a design like this? The Redwing 26 was kind of similar but not a double-ender.
Something for two people. easy on fuel. Towable behind my 3/4 truck. Small Diesel with a keel cooler and a dry stack. Coastal cruiser to Alaska.

Re: Allweather 26

It seems like you have to cross enough open water and likely take some decent wind in exposed anchorages on this trip. A boat that short is going to pitch a bunch.

I get the trailer ability but maybe something longer and and sleeker? Was just thinking about maybe a 36-38' power proa. Demountable and water ballast in ama to prevent rolling.

Obviously much different, but you never see these tiny tugs anywhere but the ICW

Albins are similarly designed. Check out some of the shorter Tug designed boats, I think Ranger just came out with a 26 footer, don't hold me to this. The reality of Seattle to Alaska boating is that most boats will work, some better than others obviously. Sometimes I wish I had gone the larger trailerable boats and go to Alaska in a series of jumps with the boat trailer combo.
