We left Senta in
La Paz for most of the summer and went to
Sweden where we lucked out big time and bought a mechanically near-perfect 1977 (same year as Senta II) Albin 25 for coastal summer explorations. Next year we may try the European
canal system too
Some 2500 were built so I expected to find some active users'
forums but only found one (which is fee-based). So, I'm curious if there aren't any others ?
Right now I only have two questions that I'd like answers to:
How do you make rubber gasketed "windows"
water tight ? They really are windows rather than port holes.
What are the two
power switches in the
head ? One of them seems to be a redundant main shut-off (there is also a 2-bank Guest switch in the cockpit). The second is reportedly a switch for configuring the two banks but I have not gotten into the guts to try to trace it yet. I'll try contacting the prior owner to see if he remembers too.
