327 fuel usage. First dumb question of the year.

Since I know next to nothing about boats, I have lots of dumb questions. I have learned a old wood boat is probably the last one I should be interested in.
That lesson has not stuck. So here I am interested in a 32ft Chris Craft (vintage 1952) with two 327 Corvette marine engines.
I already have a good idea that these are FAR from thrifty, but how much does this set up use? Any idea how big the fuel tanks are?
Thanks

The 327 engines may be worth quite a chunk to hot rodders.

I'll guess that those will burn 15-20 gph on plane at maybe 3200-3500 rpm.

Re: 327 fuel usage. First dumb question of the year.

I have 2, 327Q engines in my '33 ft '69 Chris Craft. Once up on plane which is about 14-15 mph on the depth finder they aren't really all that bad. Maybe 8-10 gallons per hour. My boat will go about 35 mph on plane full throttle but we don't run it that way as we live on a canal with speed limits, but it is nice to crack it open when the urge takes over.

You did not state how you intend to use the boat or how far you intend to cruise with it. Local trips (10-20 miles) not super expensive, think around $200 if you go slow. Cruising long distances mega expensive. Gas inboards suck fuel like crazy, especially at any speed like on a plane.

Last one I had the pleasure of working on had two 60 gallon drum tanks behind the engines.
Engines were counterrotating 327Q with Velvet drives.

I'd say follow this or a power boat forum prior to a question like this.

Have you ever looked at a Sharrow prop?
