2006 Cuisers Yachts 420 Opinions?

Looking to buy a used 2006 Cruisers Yachts 420.

New to IPS drives and wondering what owners think of the boat?

Thanks in advance!

It is probably a great Florida boat, not a very good Pacific North West boat. The boat has great length but in terms of cruising usability its wasted. Why canvas and not hard sides and top, more like an express cruiser.

Cant speak to that model, but there are and have been a few Cruisers models in our marine. Two are 4270 Esprit models, late '90s I think, with Cat diesels. Soft biminis on either side of a radar arch. One was newer, 44-something-or-other I think, with a hardtop, don't know engines. Nicer than the others, largely because of evolution I suspect.

Owners seem to be satisfied (minus some issues with the Cats), and they've cruised (so to speak) all over the Chesapeake. In fact, they happened to be some of the most active boaters in the marina. The 44 boat just moved to upstate NY, on the St. Lawrence apparently, at the end of last year.

I cruised 10,000 miles, over three years, from San Francisco to Florida on my Catalina 470 sailboat with only a Dodger and Bimini This will be an upgrade for me

Looks similar to that 44 I mentioned... (At least I think it was 44-ish)...

Did you ever purchase this?
If so, any issues? Curious mainly about the IPS drives.

Thanks.

Your info lists this make/model as your boat so I assume you bought it. What do you think of her? We're casually shopping for a potential Great Loop/coastal/Bahamas liveaboard and I've seen a couple Crusiers that look interesting; can you share your pros and cons?
