1987 Symbol Aft Cabin

I am looking at purchasing a 1987 Symobl Aft cabin motoryacht. It has twin cummins 5.9 turbo diesels in it with 3650 hours on it. It has also spent its life in fresh water with the exception of 3 years in salt water.
Does anyone have any information/knowledge of this type of vessel?
Im looking for things like are they well built, hull design/strength, stability, engines etc. It looks like it has been very well looked after. I also cant seem to find any info on this type of vessel regardless where I search.

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried that site and it has a fair bit of information on the newer boats but nothing on the older. I also sent Symbol an email but no reply.

Re: 1987 Symbol Aft Cabin

3650 hours on the engines is the equivalent of 182,000 miles on a car (at 50 mph). A great diesel engine should go more...but with two of them being the heart of your boat....it's something to consider.... Just sayin.... You should definitely have an engine survey (separate from the boat survey) including oil analysis....
