Nothing wrong with Dreams changing. I thought I had the Dream girl and found out she doesn't want to live on a boat. Too bad. Living on a boat and cruising is, well, it is like taking drugs or like I imagine taking drugs would be. The sea is a mistress and she will never give up calling you.

There is a certain mistique about Amateur Radio. It got me involved in electronics and that is how I made my living for many years. Flying is like sailing and I have lived that dream for many years. Got rid of one honey over the Amateur Radio. Got rid of another over the flying. Now I'm planning to go to sea. Be true to yourself. There really are plenty of fish in the sea and you can be happy with any number of them as long as they want the same dreams you do.

Hoist up the sails and catch the first breeze out of town. She won't change and you both will be miserable. Be true to yourself.

Hahahaha, c'mon Hal, way to be politically correct. "Like I imagine taking drugs would be."

Cruising is nothing like any drugs I've ever taken....

It's better...

Cheers

Which ever route you choose there are bound to be regrets, but having regrets for doing something is better than blameing someone for not doing it. If she loves you she may well be there if you go cruising and find it was the wrong choice
You will never blame the boat for taking you away but you may end up blaming her for not going.
