Topic/Thread Set and drift.

I have been following a few topics over the past weeks....I sure hope people don't sail like they post......some of these threads seem to drift out of the fairway and onto the rocks

Since many folks use (rely exclusively on) their chart plotters they are probably less aware of the effects of set & drift then those who keep DR plots (since the electronics automatically update the course to steer)....

... Maybe that same issue affected folks attention spans, and caused the thread drift you mention.
