Would you believe I've never found a barnacle on her? Or even a full-grown zebra mussel?

If I told you or anyone else, I'd lose one of my big joys of sailing, and that would be,
"What I do on my boat is my business"...Turn off the cell phone and cast off the lines..

Our secret pleasure is a hot bubble bath for two in the forward state room. Life is good when your boat is big enough for a large bath tub.

Re: Secret Pleasures Aboard Your Boat
On Ocean Girl, one of my favorite things was the way her sole creaked when I stepped from galley to main salon. You must hit the spot just right to get that beautiful distinct sound, and ahhh, it was like crack to a junkie
On Rain Dog, my favorite pleasure is hanging out in my hammock while my chef husband is rattling the pots and pans below whistling some jaunty tune, then we have a quiet dinner by oil lamp in the cockpit
We are all spoiled rotten ya know.

After my pan rattling, I usually have concocted a couple of chilled vodka martinis, to go with the spam sandwiches (from another thread here). After a few of the libations then the spam tastes like philly mignon! OOps.

I uesd to dread 'bad boaters' around us. I finally came to realize they are a weekend guarantee of some of the best free entertainment.

I just had a margarita sitting in the cockpit & am now tucked into a warm bed in the aft cabin. What could be better? Well, the margaritas will explain the rest of this!
The creak of the boards? Oh, my burglar alarm! I always wonder how someone can get aboard without anyone knowing. First, the boat would lean to the side the climb on (not at the stern, I realize) THEN they climb over the combing & hit their head on the handhold above THEN climb down the stairs (unless the robber is a boater they fall trying to walk forward & hit head on the companionway hatch THEN creak through the boat waking all within 1/4 mile ONLY to get beaten to a pulp by someone who cranks up a massive heavy sail or pulling up an anchor & chain (and that is the wife!)
Yep, it's the margaritas! I always feel like Superwoman!

Re: Secret Pleasures Aboard Your Boat
My secret tequila stash - currently Corralejo Anejo and 1921. They were out of Chinaco.
The margaritas are made with Hornitos but don't tell Sailor G
