Mr Right will be around somewhere close. He's probably a sailor who's very social. Hope you bump into him soon.

Look on the bright side: There will be a hell of a lot more sailing men looking for women, than sailing women looking for men

Even with that ratio being in a girls favour, the odds are still stacked against success. Most men turn into crusty old hermits as the years go by and dont adapt well to new situations.

But, Im ever the optimist.

A few, some, but surely not most....I don't feel old or crusty. Matter of fact, don't plan on ever going there. But good to see ya here again girl

Of course it goes without saying, no man wants to think hes a crusty hermit, old or otherwise, but its how others see you which decides.
We get set in our ways as we get older and two peoples ways may not be compatable, even with liberal amounts of compromise to smooth the path.

Any other ladies wish to elaborate on this subject?

Honey, I hear ya!! I have often wondered over the last few months if I am slowing turning into that...hermit. Sometimes I am so darn happy just putzing around my little boat that I don't miss the outside world at all! (though I do say to myself many times, I wish my mate was here). I have really made an effort to get out and socialize on my dock and with my land friends to keep this "hermit" at bay. So its just not men, we sailor girls are at risk of becoming crusty old women too. Of course a sailor man could remedy that. I agree that the odds are against us, finding our mate I mean. But "life" generally defies the odds. Look around us, we shouldn't be here, we are beating the odds just by breathing! Hmmm... I am getting philosophical, and when I get philosophical I generally lose my audience.

Keep the faith,
Erika
