How Much Abuse do you Tolerate on Your Boat

I have heard that if you are in The Virgin Islands and someone goes off meds it can be a real problem. They don't have mental services there and actually don't have knowledge of mental illness. Locals believe it is a form of evil. My Relative went on a charter with a sailing group where boat was detained while family came for this crew member. This crew member jumped overboard because they were flying a pirate flag. Could not get him back onboard. It was a real mess and several days delay. Some like to drink a little and stop taking meds.

An interesting assortment of comments regarding invited guests or crew. Some very well thought out. I see some of you eventually got around to my way of thinking and what i said way back in the early stages of this thread which was: ... "Good day. Allow me to introduce myself ... My name is Bligh; Captain Bligh. Be sure to address me as such every time I give an order." ... You should have no further problems. ...
