Good bye "Sew Good"

I have been a contributor to the forum for several years now. From the time of my first boat "Eva Luna" through it's sale to the purchase of "Sew Good" and my relationship with Lynn.
After nearly 2 years, Lynn has decided to call it quits. Whether it's the difficulty of living in a small boat ... or ... living with me ... or both ... I don't know, perhaps it's the lure of "indoor plumbing"
It has become so difficult and expensive to liveaboard a boat, here in Southern Florida, that I was seriously considering moving to the hard myself, and abandoning the boating lifestyle all together. Fortunately, I spent Thanksgiving weekend with some of my best boat trash mates, down in the Keys. They have poured some sense into me (funny thing, tastes just like rum!) and I will be purchasing another boat, and moving to the Keys myself.
Standby for more of the continuing saga .... Wahoo Sails ain't done yet!

Ah - Marathon. I'll be interested to hear how they are treating live aboards these days. The keys are changing fast. Best wishes !

You bring up an interesting point. The complaints I heard were about the "water nazis" (not my choice of terminology) ... a safety inspection is one thing, a "safety inspection" at 11:30 at night, is another altogether. No less than 5 different agencies, all trying to justify their existance by finding something to cite a boater on ... no matter how far fetched. That having been said, the people operating the marina got not only good reports from their tennants ... they got rave reviews! In an era where everyone is looking to get rid of liveaboards ... they are expanding the mooring field significantly!
