Re: Frankly! Your most sucking work onboard??

After paying for a pump out that didn't work, removing the nearly full 12 gal holding tank from under the vee berth and staggering up the dock with it in order to empty it bucket full at a time into the house toilet. The contents belonged to the previous owner, secret bonus gift when I'd bought the boat.

Re: Frankly! Your most sucking work onboard??

Clogged electric heads ... I learned not to skimp and installed the most powerful unit the electric service would support.

Then when briefing guests on the boat I explain to the wife's girlfriends what can and can't go in the head and the risks of using copious amounts of TP.

I always tell guests that if they they clog up the head - no worries, they just get to fix it and show then the tools and where they are located.

Then I part with this great saying that I saw scribed on a bronze placard in the head of an old wooden Schooner:

"Remember, there are no plumbers at sea."

Haven't had a problem since.
