Yeah, what else is new, Liz?
Nah! That just your inner child peeking out.
After all we do need to let our inner child out to play every now and then... But mine is out and about, one hell of a lot.

Re: Confess Now: How Many Here Are Above the Double Nickels ?

Well I'm enjoying being 21 again... 3rd time

Partner/girlfriend thingy is 48, and will be for many years I'm sure

I explained that I have 2 interests, pretty boats and pretty women, but I only have time to indulge one.

She's no dummy, house is on the market and we will be buying a pretty boat to live on as soon as it sells!

I end up with one of each and we're both happy

Vic

PS. She scores too... she likes pretty boats, and a guy that appreciates a pretty woman

I realy cant keep up the pretence that im 19 anymore, so I guess its time I finally turned 20

Hey, anjou, you were supposed to wait 5 years before you posted here... Ah, these kids...
Not far behind you boasun, may make it to 69 next month. I'm hoping that age is as good as it looks.

This thread is rated PG-55, which means that children still in their forties, while they are welcome to lurk, should do so quietly.

Re: Confess Now: How Many Here Are Above the Double Nickels ?

Can I practice to post here so I know how when I hit my double nickels in 48 hours?
Some of your comments are quite comical and give me high hopes for growing older as a future full-time cruiser. Have just 15 more weeks until selfinflicted retirement. Should have spend some time to find the right female companion for my travels. but who knows what happens en route.

Re: Confess Now: How Many Here Are Above the Double Nickels ?

Fifty Five is a US speed limit and I ignored it long before the double nickel and hope to continue the trend for a while longer . At 65 I may have become slightly more reserved... I now wear sandals instead of sneakers when walking around my home (Luperon, Dominican Republic) but I do slip on my helmet and motorcyle boots just before mounting up. The road conditions here, for the most part, keep the velocity below 55 mph.

But being born in the first half of the last century, does have a nice ring to it.

Have worked on the Ocean all of my adult life, though I have tried to get a shore job several times. I am now an Instructor for those who want their USCG 100/200 Master/Mate Licenses. Been doing this for about five years now.
Am renewing my 1600 ton Master / 2nd Mate unlimited tonnage upon Oceans license right now...
How does that put me in the ASA standing??

Now is there anyone else willing to admit that they are above the double nickels??

Double-nickel +change!
Not 6 bits yet, but I'll still be on the water.

(Let's see the young'ens figure out what 6 bits is, and where it came from. Without going to Google)
