When I learned to climb a rope it was with a Prussic. For you non-climbers, it has a counter intuitive operation. When it slips, you have to keep your hands away from it and let it grab.

I mention it because although there are much safer ways to climb there will likely still be a few Prussic loops on my sit harness.

Note, my comments here were intended as an admission not a recommendation.

Like hey, I new it was illegal.

I use those brass clips on my boat. To clip fenders to the toe rail!
Would never trust one with my life, I've had a 4 dog team break them, I know they weren't pulling 5000lbs!
IF you really are a climber you should understand shock loading and fall factors, these clips have no place anywhere for any human load bearing use. EVER!
Don't care at all what you do with yourself but I really hope nobody else uses these for tethers etc.
