Warning Salt Ponds VA Shoaling!!!

If you are traveling up the intercoastal, be aware that Salt Ponds entrance has dangerious shoaling. The sand hill is now less than 3' below at high tide!
Please avoid this area until the dredging starts (expected in May or June).
You will be better off stopping in Norfolk or Portsmouth after you get out of the ICW before heading north.
