Re: Two Dead, Seven Hurt in San Diego Sailboat Accident

I just can't get over the sail being held together with DUCT TAPE and STAPLES...

Granted that may not be responsible for what happened, but if I was in the process of boarding a boat and I noticed the sails looked as though they had been repaired by Jeff Foxworthy, I would either unboard myself, or grab a life jacket and cancel any dinner plans.

Not to say that it is the passengers fault. After all, the passengers were not experienced sailors, and wouldn't have noticed the issue with the sails. It just kills me that that was mentioned in the police report.
