Ok, then go down to the shoreline and demand nature stop producing the red tide and see how that works out for you. And while you're at it, see if you can get the tide to stop going up and down.

I wish our tide would stop permanently at high so I could get my boat out of the lagoon whenever I want.

As a follow up, the red tide seems to be gone, from onshore Pinellas County (Clearwater to Egmont Key) anyway; and just as an anecdotal observation, the water in Boca Ciega Bay behind my home is clearer than I've ever seen it. Strange.
