POLL: Sailor's & Cruiser's Jax
I am throwing some dates out, so we can come up with a timetable to meet. Once we figure out when. We can figure out where, etc. etc.

imagine2frolic,
I voted. It makes no difference on the date just to confuse matters.

The southern yacht migration won't reach FL until late Nov to early Dec since many have insurance that precludes arriving earlier. A later date would probably improve participation.

George,
What you say is true. I think the idea behind the dates is to have a first. There is another member that plans to leave the first of October for the Bahamas. A later date could be established at another time so that more people could plan to attend an East Coast Event.

Remember too, that there is a Southbound Cruisers Rendezvous in New Bern in Mid October, attended by something over 100 boats. That can conflict with your schedule.

Might it make sense to coordinate our rendezvous with the “SSCA Gam”, being held, December 5-7, 2008, at Melbourn, Fla. ?

I didn't vote because I'm open to any of the dates.
I'd just as soon have it in the summer, if it's a success we can have another.
Some of us aren't afraid of being in Florida in the summer , and I'm hoping to be swimming in the Bahamas when all the insurance-controlled/owned cowards start floating down here from the frozen North!
Now that I think about it, maybe Sept. 7 is the best, we can make it a dual Hurricane Party/CF Rendevous

I never thought about people coming down from the north. If things really turn out to be fun. There's no reason we couldn't have a second meeting. That way we could meet even more members..............

Count us in
I voted for 21st Sept, thought we might have a boat by then. Any weekend will be good for us. Hey if all goes well, meet early and often, couldn't be anything wrong with that.

Herb & Mate,
Do not let the lack of a boat keep you from meeting. The idea is for forum members to meet. I have a boat but I do not think I can make it anywhere and back on a Sunday. I have to work on Monday.

I am bumping this back to the top as a reminder. When we get a date we can work on location. Everyone's input will help insure we can all show on a convenient date........THANKS

I'll check with my Significan Other and then post on the poll. Right now, any of the dates suggested look ok.
And as others have said -- we can always have more than one party!
