applies to most things... but yeah very valid in this context...

we lived with the Costco Busan spill on the bay in 07...

sadly the nature of the beast is that until we move on to a new fuel we will be stuck with spills of crude.

of course no doubt the new fuel will have its issues as well.

once horse manure polluted cities.
then coal with soot and smoke and changed weather patterns
(yeah, how about that... way back then...)
then and now oil with water, land and air pollution.
nuclear power has challenges that boggle my mind.

there is no free lunch...
