The US Consulate in Guadalajara is looking for a missing skiff. Please pass this along to any boats on the area.

One more thing. The official spoke of the 3POB's as the "3 missing boys," so chances are they are minors.

Seems like a long time for three boys to be missing that far offshore.

Re: Missing skiff: Mexican west coast

They're probably already in San Pedro or Palos Verdes CA. These skiffs are quite often found washed up onshore in southern Ca. as they ditch the boat and swim to shore.

Right Seahunter, they drove their skiff to southern California - over 1000 miles.

Since the US Consulate is involved, I'd imagine the boys are Americans, but don't know for sure.

It amazes me how narrow some peoples' vision of the real world has become. It's done all the time. A panga with a 200HP engine can easily run 20 - 30 knots in most seas. Do the math. 3 days and they're in sunny California.

There were lots of things that bothered me about this report, but until you can determine it truly is bogus, you have to treat it as real.

Well, it was bogus, or at least the reporter was bogus. For those of you familiar with San Blas, does Jama Hour ring a bell?
