i2f Coming to the Tampa Area

For those in the Tampa area. I will most likely meet family somewhere on the beach the last week of June. I am not sure of the exact date, or place. In a couple of days what is there to do, and or see that is a must in your opinion? I have only driven through the area, so I am at a complete loss of what's there that would grab a sailor's interest.......i2f

Welcome to Tampa, I would head over to Clearwater and have an outdoor meal at Frenchy"s Saltwater Cafe. If you like nature, while in Clearwater take the ferry to Calidesi Island, a nature preserved barrier island. It is even better to take your own boat and stay at the state parks ran docks (if you don't have a deep draft). If you like the night life Ybor city gets hopping for that croud. Ybor makes a nice but short tour of an old cuban cigar districs histroric buildings. Of course there is the tourist magnets of the Florida Aquarium, and Buch Gardens. I'm sure I have forgotten a must see...
