Re: Headless bodies of pair on a Lagoon440 found in Thailand

and more Thai news:
"Two British tourists were found battered to death Monday on a beach on a scenic island in southern Thailand that is one of the country's most popular diving destinations.
Police described the two as a 23-year-old woman from Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, and a 24-year-old man from Jersey, Channel Islands. Their nearly naked bodies were discovered on Koh Tao, a small island in the Gulf of Thailand."

Re: Headless bodies of pair on a Lagoon440 found in Thailand

sounds like mebbe is more to this story than we reading..... folks arent generally beheaded without good reason, at least in the eyes of the individuals doing the beheading....

cannot speak for those beheaded as i aint been there nor do i do anything requiring that punishment.

Re: Headless bodies of pair on a Lagoon440 found in Thailand

When a body deteriorates in water, the head commonly falls off if given enough time and hungry fishies. It's a pretty heavy object and it doesn't take long for the creatures and decomposition to allow the head to detach. Imagine in the warm tropical waters of Thailand the process would be accelerated. If you remember that guy that killed his pregnant wife in the SF Bay area and dumped her in the water. They found her headless body or vice versa which wasn't the condition when she was dumped.

In any case, this thread should be retitled as it looks like neither of these killings had anything to do with boats other than they were in or near water.

Re: Headless bodies of pair on a Lagoon440 found in Thailand

OK. I can believe that.

That's the first time (aside from this updated news story) that I've ever heard of this phenomena. I certainly wouldn't call the process "beheading", since that connotes a brutal act by another person.

I have no earthly idea who did it. So, I'm not going to blame it on any group, religious or otherwise. I find it tragic and hope the perpetrators and reasons are figured out. I've known these type events to be totally random and with no motive other than robbery and I've known there to be underlying circumstances no one would have suspected. So I don't point the finger toward a group unless the ones investigating give a reason to do so.

The first may have as the Lagoon was found in the proximate area of the bodies and was ransacked and not occupied. Empty boat, bodies in water, possibly connected.

I'm assuming if the couple were shot it would be obvious Christians were responsible.
