Re: Goodbye Dirt People

If you make a spot in San Diego, let me know, we'll have you for dinner or something.

Re: Goodbye Dirt People

Well back to dirt..........Has been a horrible year on the Pacific coast. 2 large storms & 5 gales later we have to haul out and head back to Oregon for repairs. Nothing major, but to expencive in So. Calif.. I think that my Haida is the tuffest 26' boat I've ever sailed. I now know that it can take a lot more than I. But we did have a great time an will return to our cruising life as soon as possible. We saw 9 boats 40-50' range with severe damage, ours pretty minor in comparison. My wife was a natural as she had never sailed before. her first sail was out of the Columbia River, was even a flat day w/20 knt wind & 9' wind waves. and still can't wait to leave for the Carribean next fall. Pretty cool, I'm a very lucky guy now........Michael.......

Re: Goodbye, Dirt People

Good on you for stepping off and doing, fair winds and mild seas. I'll be down your way soon.
