. Really, a generator?
Most all generators are no where near as loud as a lawn mower, but I bet you don’t call the cops when someone mows their grass.
In fact I’d bet most generators make about as much noise as the average house heat pump.

Your whole argument explains pretty well what the problem is, see the waterway is not in your neighborhood, as much as I guess you think it is.
Don’t be a jerk, you should know the difference between a generator running all night pumping fumes into your bedroom, or V-berth hatch versus a lawn-mover buzzing for 10 mins in the middle of the day.

Had to move many times after I anchored and went to bed just to have some selfish dork anchor right in front of us and run the gen all night.

Noise is from air cooled deck generators such as the Honda 2000s, running 12/24, plenty loud and no consideration for neighbors.
Internal gen-sets are usually diesel and fairly quiet, unless right next to your open hatches but they pump out enough fumes to poison you if your are anchored down wind from them.

You knew all that I am sure, just had a bad day.?

Go down to South Fl, try to set up a chair in front of one of those resort Hotels, see what happens. I guarantee you will be run off, even though they don’t own that land, they think they do, and with this submerged land lease nonsense, they may control it.
There was a beach in Des Monies WA where some inflamed hemorrhoid thought he owned the beach.

Karma taught him otherwise.

Q. Are there noise limits in Fort Lauderdale?

A. You bet! City ordinance forbids certain noise levels after 10:00 PM. Further, in some areas of the City prohibitions exist concerning noise from certain types of establishments. Keep in mind, during those times of the year when the weather is cool, people tend to leave their windows open at night. If you have left your window open, the noise level may be normal and the noise you are hearing seems louder than it really is.
