For what it’s worth FortNine has been a great company to deal with for motorbike stuff. Have a number of transactions with them and every one has been positive, including when we needed to return an expensive helmet that didn’t fit my GF and had to be shipped across the country and back.
Hopefully they treat Defender customers as good as they treat FortNine customers
That's encouraging. I'm not counting on it, but I'm being hopeful that FortNine wanted to get into marine sales and decided the best way to do it was to buy a company that's already good at it.

Re: Defender acquired
I appreciate defender. Their product descriptions are generally a curate and more complete than other sources. Also I have used their Customer Service several times. And I believe they do international shipping.
It is the complete package that is the real value.
Now that Amazon is selling marine hardware, I can't imagine Defender or West Marine can compete considering their ridiculous mark-ups.
Amazon is still not a good marine source. They have some stuff, but for plenty of things they're either not the cheapest or they don't have any good quality options, only the cheap unknown quality ones.
