Re: Common Sense Answer to Pirates

The Pros with the guns don't scare me, it is the wannabes that do. At least with a Pro behind the gun you know if they mean to kill you, you are dead. I would hate to end up a cautionary tale about an accidental discharge.

This topic never appears to get any better - 244 posts and we end up with guns and more guns as the most common solution - and yet the topic title "Common Sense Answer to Pirates" fails to provide much in the way of common sense.

Guns are the common sense answer.
Works everywhere - every time - from the beginning of time( except guns were rocks and clubs then).
The LEO and coast guard use them to check our toilets and safety.
They don't seem to in the Indian Ocean...
Who knows why???

Really?
All people? Or just you?(not that there is anything wrong with that)

I'm talking about the military authorities - they don't mind dropping bombs on cities. why not a little boat out of it's range in the ocean...

i don't have any guns, or any other offensive weapons - believe we should be able to but...
I am well protected here - plenty of military and private mega-yachts with paid cops as security.
But I spend my time looking at women...

Re: Common Sense Answer to Pirates

Careful you don't cast a lustful gaze at the mega yacht owner's wife or daughter. You could end up on the wrong end of a gun that way as well, far more dangerous than pirates in my book.

Guns are not " a common sense answer to pirates". They are difficult to get, carry legally and in the hands of untrained people with no combat experience, dangerous.

There are other ideas (1) being don't go there. Are there any others??

Re: Common Sense Answer to Pirates

Generally speaking most mega yacht owners are fairly territorial over the females which they protect, better to find a free range one.

Re: Common Sense Answer to Pirates

I have never actually seen an attractive women on a mega yacht...
Mainly people polishing stuff.
The cute women around here are attending office parties on charter boats, Often elite banker types, and super hot back-office babes...

in any case really nice people around here - no matter their net-worth. Very helpful - offering to let me borrow tools etc...
Don't even lock the boat...
