A vessel named "blue steel" activated its EPIRB

We were bringing my boat down the the ICW from the Chesapeake to Oriental NC this week when we heard the Coast Guard announce that a boat named "Blue Steel" had activated its EPIRB on Saturday, some 30 miles southeast of Oregon inlet NC. There is a trimaran with that name out of the Pacific Northwest. Does anyone know if that is the same vessel? I haven't heard any other news about the boat in distress.
