So after my 1st post on this forum, almost 2 years and a half have gone by and today I'm happy to tell you that since then I've come from a happy wanna be sailor to a Coastal Skipper
1 year ago I took the Local Skipper
licence and since December 2010 I'm one of the almost 200 guys that each year, in my country, goes through the Coastal Skipper exam.
, Rules of the Sea, Onboard Security
(fire, first-aid), VHF Radio
(azimuths, bearing, latitude...), MOB
, knots, Buoys, Running lights, Tides, Meteo, Radar
, Engines..it was hard but now I'm feeling a lot more confident and really happy.
Next step, Ocean Yachtmaster. But this will need to wait for at least another year.
I must thank you Cruisers Forum for the great teachings and for being such a great forum. I've been learning
a lot (and I still do) with your help!
