It's the instant messaging icon for Skype in the signed out mode, similar to your Y for Yahoo!

on my netbook my hover says "shift plusR improves quality of this picture"..... is why i had to ask..sorry ---maybe because i am using chrome instead of firefox for a bit.....

Now you've done it Hud. It won't take long before they know everything.

And for you ZeeHag now that it's known that you are "helpful poster" Hud didn't tell you what happens next! A green box here an icon there and it all goes according to the greater CF master plan. That is nothing compared to what happens when you get the accolades.
