Why was my thread deleted?

I made a thread in monohull forum about my new macgregor 26 and attached an image. It was hotlinked from postimages. Then it was deleted.

Any idea why?

Was there a naked person in the picture because that would qualify for deletion I think.....

When new Folks post links or photos on the 1st 12 ish postings, those posts have to be reviewed by moderator, before they are visible to everyone. This as we get an awful lot of spam everyday. It's an automatic function.

After about 12 posts you're free and clear. Your post was reviewed and was cleared out of the moderated posts.

Ah, ok, thanks. I didn’t see anything about that after posting it and I could see it for a bit I thought.

No naked pics, but you can see my ankles :

We met secretly and gave your post the ‘thumbs down’ for lack of nudity.

Writing "Hoosier daddy?" in the thread may get it blocked.

Interesting to read, thanks SailorChick. Over the years I've also tried to start 2 or 3 threads. None have ever eventuated so just stopped trying as I thought I must be too stupid. At least now I know to include some nudie pics to get it past the moderators.

Be careful or this one might get deleted too.

"Public discussion about moderation or moderator decisions is not allowed. If a moderator deletes or edits one of your posts and you disagree with the action, contact the moderator concerned. Do not repost deleted material."

I recommend reviewing the site rules.

I get that concern, but I couldn't find the post and it didn't show up on my activity list so I had no idea. I figured posting an innocent question in the support forum would be the way to go. I've been on message boards for years and respect the role moderates have in keeping the boards functional

Re: Why was my thread deleted?

I thought that the thread and criticism were thoughtful and respectful. (And at times, a little humorous). I saw nothing wrong with any of it.
